Amongst Carrion

Originally forming in 2010 as a covers band, it wasn’t long before Newport outfit Amongst Carrion started to find their own indentity partly down to finding a settled line-up. With that settled line-up came a plethora of modern metalcore influences such as Parkway Drive and August Burns Red and, while one listen to their debut 5 track EP shows they’re fairly happy to wear their influences proudly on their sleeves, there is also no getting away from the fact that their brand of harsh, bludgeoning metalcore is quality stuff. With the band showing that they are also willing to knuckle down and get themselves out and about, here’s hoping some of the key names in the metalcore scene give these guys a chance because it’s about time a young hopeful like Amongst Carrion got the opportunity to take on the big guns at their own game.
