Asking Alexandria
Blessthefall + Chelsea Grin
HMV Forum, London
Asking Alexandria have a new look, new logo and a new sound with their recent album ‘’Master Album Remix’ it’s time to see what’s crackin’ with as the crowd chant of ‘Af******A’ ring around the HMV Forum.
Chelsea Grin started the buzz of the Saturday night debauchery with their death metal vibes ringing around the indoors of the HMV Forum as the youth of today showing they were more than ready to get messy and it hadn’t even hit 8pm! Blessthefall followed shortly after – the atmosphere crackling from their energy, their audience interaction (lead singer Beau jump and flipped into the crowd) and their stage presence and charisma. A performance that demanded your attention and will certainly have their new fans coming back for more.
The headliners get straight into business with ‘Welcome’ sticking two fingers in the air as they announce their return to UK stages. Diving into each song giving their all, ‘A Lesson Never Learned’ recalls foolish tales of drinking and mosh pit madness. On the evidence of tonight, there will be plenty more of those from both the crowd and the band as both explode into life with each song and, while some begrudge the success of the band, tonight it was hard to deny that lead singer Dan and the rest of the band deserved to own this stage.
Between songs, Dan controlled the crowd of this sold out gig with his foul mouth and, as he stood proudly surveying the carnage his band were causing, it seemed that, tonight, Asking Alexandria were playing louder, heavier and a hell of a lot harder than normal bringing their finest hour to an insane ending with The Final Episode (Let’s Change The Channel).
