Aversions Crown
(Brisbane, Australia)
Aversions Crown claim to make music that represents ‘heavy, at its heaviest’ and we’re not inclined to disagree. Taking a pickaxe to the preconception that Australians are all mellow ‘n’ shit, this Brisbane act pack eight-string guitars and they’re not afraid to use them, their music as technically impressive as it is ear-frazzlingly heavy – think deathcore played by a bunch of tech-heads, with Satan himself on vocals. The five-piece’s debut album ‘Servitude’ has been well-received down under and via the power of the interweb devotees of heavy all over the world have been adding them to their mental ‘must keep an eye on’ lists… might we suggest you do the same? As far as our international spies are able to ascertain (non-UK readers, you can spot them easy enough: they look exactly like our mosher logo dude ) there are no signs of AC visiting the UK as yet, but you never know what the year could bring… Stock up on bandages, yeah?
