Burning Human ( New York, USA)

Oh how we chuckled when we got a press release saying that New York based death-metal mob Burning Human had got their video banned by Headbangers Ball of all programmes for being too gruesome. It also raised our interest enough to check out these boys to see what they’re all about. Well, chunky death metal is the order of the day here. Think Swedish groove-metal meets American sledgehammer death metal and you’re on fairly close to the mark. While many bands have done this before, the Deicide-esque vocals and full throttle rage of this band ensure that they’ll be a winner when it comes to the death metal scene. Couple that with the moshier parts of their death metal carnage along with the notoriety of having a video banned by the only proper metal program on mainstream TV and that makes their debut album, Resurrection Through Fire, an almost essential purchase.
