Charred Walls Of The Damned ( New York, USA)

Charred Walls Of The Damned is the brainchild of former Iced Earth drummer Richard Christy and sees his return to the metal community after a five-year stint working on The Howard Stern Show. After producing a demo with an albums worth of material, Chirsty put together the rest of band and he recruited an impressive line up. Vocals are provided by Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, on guitar is Jason Suecof with Steve DiGiorgio on bass; making Charred Walls Of The Damned somewhat of a super group. Their self-titled debut album is available now on Metal Blade and is an impressive slap of traditional heavy metal fused with some elements from both thrash and power metal geners. While due to other commitment the touring group will only feature Christy, they are none the less one of the hottest new bands around and well worth seeing live.
