Chelsea Grin ( Salt Lake City, USA)

Named after a delightful act that involves cutting into the corners of someone’s mouth then booting them in the bollocks thus giving the impression of a huge grin, US deathcore kids Chelsea Grin are certainly causing ripples in the US underground with their skull-smashing brutality. With their new album, Desolation Of Eden, about to drop Stateside, Chelsea Grin are ready, even this early in their career, to give the likes of Suicide Silence a run for their money. Jarring blasts of white hot metal are spliced in half by brutal breakdowns and throat ripping vocals making a sound so heavy that the fashion element of Bring Me The Horizon’s fanbase will shit blood. The problem is that, while there is no doubting that Chelsea Grin are a top notch band, with so many other bands already making their mark on this scene, have these sick bastards have left it too late to really be anything more than just another band to be named dropped by US scene kids?
