Kasiuss ( Leeds, England)
Kasiuss deserve your undivided attention, right now. Bringing together soaring, euphoric vocals, a range of complex and emotive instrumentation, and the kind of substantial riffage that will never go out of style (if we have anything to say about it), this Leeds based four piece are doing something genuinely different, and we’re all better off for it. Label them whatever you like, but you can hardly deny the musical intelligence and chutzpah that Kasiuss have displayed so far; you might not like it, and they’re a genre purist’s worst nightmare, but they sure are sure as hell more interesting than the majority of new bands that you’ll come across in the near future. The band make good use of their novel Guitar-bass-drums-piano lineup, injecting an emotional richness into their sound that many bands aspire to, and far less actually achieve. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.
