NMS Tour Part 4
Right, before I start on part 4 of this tour diary I thought I would take the opportunity to introduce myself…
If you have been following the previous entries of this blog you would of heard the name “Synth Andy” pop up now and again. Rest assured I am a real person and not a figment of No Made Senses imagination.
You may of seen me hiding behind amps at NMS gigs or being shouted at by sound men for breaking their PA systems.
So now we have been formally introduced lets crack on with part four…
We had a day off yesterday and instead of resting on our laurels we headed up to London for the start (and finish) of an expensive media promo campaign…
After spending far too much money on vinyl and Mexican food we headed over to the Total Rock studios, not before popping into Anne Summers for a present for DJ Maz Star (she totally loved her travel sized rampant rabbit).
We hung out and drank beers there for about an hour or so and it is safe to say that, if this band thing fails, we all have a career in commercial radio waiting for us.
Without a gig to go to we called up our boy Nally Chapters and headed out to some of Londons finest over priced metal bars. After several beers and more AC/DC then a redneck wedding we said our goodbyes and struggled back to Reading for a night in our own beds (bliss).
Today were working on some new videos and a podcast to be posted up online very soon. So stay tuned for that shit. You might actually find out what the album is about!

NMS Tour Part 5
Sorry about this being late, mega stress.
So our stint of shows are over. The end of an era some might say. Others probably wouldnt.
Wycombe was amazing, the turnout, the sound, the feel. Everything. Had some real nice comments after and it made us start to realise that maybe, just maybe people are starting to understand what were doing.
I was on a high but in true NMS fashion something had to go wrong and something did infact go wrong.
My car ran out of battery whilst we were loading out which according to the Vauxhall Corsa Drivers Manual, isnt a very good thing.
How many pretentious, weedy grungers does it take to jump start a car? The answer is 4. Even after we got it going again my radio said safe instead of working like it should which meant no more Melvins for us.
Oxford ran smoothly. We were nervous because wed never played there before but the turnout was amazing and the crowd were very receptive.
There were a few people who were still expecting Tesseract to be there but luckily none of us had to be the ones to break the news. They took it well I think. I dread to think what it wouldve been like if it was a cancelled Linkin Park show. Remember when they were good?
Anyway we sold some stuff for a change and left with our heads held high. It was a success!
Were having a few days rest now before working on a new set before Prog Fest in Leeds, August 8th. Sounds good dont it?
Hope these blogs havent been too boring, cheers for reading, see ya soon.
Sam, Joe, Leo, Andy.
PS – Special shout out goes to Graham and Planet Loud for sponsoring the tour, James Monteith and Maz at Total Rock. Also Neil at Alternater promotions and Beth and Burning Legacy for actually being good promoters. Learn from these guys, they know how to put on a show.);
