The Architects ( Kansas City, USA)
Not to be confused with Brighton metal combo Architects, The Architects, hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, may have as yet only appeared on the radar of the most observant rock fans over here in the UK; but given the compulsive appeal of their soulful, non-sanitised and gruffly melodic amalgam of punk rock, blues and traditional rock ‘n roll, that’s all set to change. Currently operating as a quartet, the band, formed in 2004, already have four albums under their belt, and have recently set out on a punishing stateside trek alongside Irish flavoured punks Flogging Molly and UK folk rocker Frank Turner, a tour that’s sure to give a boost to their already impressive following in the states. There’s a touch of Springsteen about The Architects, a touch of Hot Water Music, and a hell of a lot of attitude. Fans of no nonsense, balls to the wall rock that’s as accessible as it is raw are strongly advised to use the link below…
