The Blitz Kids ( United Kingdom)
Image is not everything in the music industry, but it certainly helps, and our very own Blitz Kids are a Record Company’s wet dream. Looking like they have just walked out of the latest edition of Vogue, The Blitz Kids certainly present a shiny veneer, and a togetherness that augments their marketability; luckily they have the music to back it up.
If you were putting this band’s sound together in your head, then you would imagine a heady mix of Bloc Party, Kids in Glass Houses, beaten up by The Jam and The Who. This really is a confident UK sound that embraces its roots, while still giving an admiring glance towards our transatlantic cousins.
Blitz kids are cool, both musically and aesthetically, backing up the style with substance, a mix that delivers a highly infectious and listenable sound that wont leave you disappointed. The acceptance of a UK influence, and the envelopment of that in their music really sets them apart from the rest.
