The Marianna Hollow
(London, England)
London’s The Mariana Hollow don’t do things by halves, and you can expect to be hearing a fair bit more from them as 2012 rolls on. Aiming to write music with depth, subtlety and heart, these five musicians could well have what it takes to streak ahead much of the alt-metal pack, drawing inspiration from bands like Opeth, Katatonia and A Perfect Circle but beginning to carve out a real niche of their own. After working with the band on their debut album legendary producer Chris Sheldon (Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, Amplifier) stated that they possess ‘everything I like in music, great playing, awesome singing, and most importantly a knack for infectious melodies’, and if that’s not a reason to give them a listen, we’re not sure what would be. With some big plans and big ideas, The Mariana Hollow could soon be very big news.
