How did you come up with the idea for If Motley Crue Were Girls?
I was hanging out with Roodlixx at a really cool shoe store and we got talking about The Motley Crue book The Dirt. One thing led to another and we got fixated on a couple of the pictures in there. We decided it would be a bit of fun to try to recreate some of them.. without the drugs of course..
What did you want to achieve with it?
Fame and Fortune… but first up was to have some fun.
Did you achieve that?
Who knows but I think it’s likely to come because we’re all fabulous. As for the fun part – that was definitely achieved.
How difficult was it to find the girls and how did you pick who was who?
The girls truly believe they are who they say they are so it was easy for me to say ‘oooh, you know, you’d make an excellent Tommy Lee with boobs’. I believe they even have a fabulous track aptly titled ‘boys, boys, boys’..
What research did you do into the project?
The bath tub was truly hard to find plus the added pressure of getting one which we were all allowed to use at the same time was difficult to find in the UK.. Fortunately for us a very good friend stepped forward and allowed us to use her bathroom. The makeup of that era was easy to achieve as it’s all back in fashion now and we all like a bit of Motley so the passion was there straight away.
How easy was the shoot to get together?
The girls got lost so there was some tension as the shoot fell behind our tight shooting schedule. Howver we sent out a local man with a white van to collect them. They were able to follow him to the secrect location and we soon all made up time.
Was there a particular Motley Crue scene or image you wanted to recreate?
There are 2 we really liked which both featured in The Dirt. One was a bath scene and the other was the one in which Vince was holding a ghetto blaster – fabulous.
Why Motley Crue and not any of the other bands from that era?
They represent the essence of that era and it wasn’t just about the music, it was about the image and the lifestyle too. Plus they wore great clothes and had good make up on from time to time. But there was something about them that even decades later excites people – not all bands have that.
Do you have a particularly favourite Motley Crue story..
Oh yes I do. However I’m not sure how true it is.. I was told on a drunken night, that there are photographs of a certain member of MC receiving felatio from a lady which was snapped by a UK music photographer. Of course, it’s probably bullock but its sounds good, as I photographer myself – I wonder if I’d have enough guts to shoot something like that.
What do you think Motley Crue would think of the shoot?
They’d love it and invite us back to party.

When did you first discover Motley and what is it that you like about them?
I cant remember to be honest! Theyve been there as long as I can remember … But I was probably pissed up somewhere singing along badly to it in a pub whilst shouting at everyone “WHO DID THIS SONG AGAIN?!”
Did you know much about their history?
Not all that much to be fair, but hey, not everythings about the fuckin past is it?

I thought…that sounds ridiculous! I want in on that!
Who is your favourite member of the band and why?
Well, I could never choose between the gals! but the lads…Tommy was always my favourite!

What do you mean choose?! We are who we are man..
What was the shoot like?
Wicked! A right laugh! Some really stupid faces were pulled…
You cant beat drinkin beer from a champagne glass in a bath with only one rule “NO PEEING!”
I only managed to swipe a few sips of the whiskey though!…That belonged to D!
How did you get into “character” for the shoot?

Us girls got plenty of our own!…but theres just too many Motley stories to choose from!

When did you first discover Motley and what is it that you like about them?
In between partying hard, playing live and partying harder I like a little me time, a friend suggested I read a book called “The Dirt”. Since then Ive been hooked! I love the sheer hedonistic lifstyle they lived in the early years, on the stage and off the stage they managed to attract crowds and trouble.
Did you know much about their history?
As I said earlier Im totally hooked on them, Im a bit of a Crue boffin. Infact I challenge YOU to find something I DIDNT know about them!
What did you think when you were approached to be part of the shoot?
Dude I helped set the wheels in motion so if anything I was the one doing the approaching! along with ol Sex Face Capan of course!
Who is your favourite member of the band and why?
Its gotta be Nikki, hands down, that guy is a legend. If he didnt follow his dreams and achieve his goals their wouldnt of been a Motley Crue.
What was the shoot like?
Fun. Fun. Fun. sat in a bath tub with 3 other chicks, sipping champagne..was one of the more interesting ways to spend a sunday afternoon.
How did you get into “character” for the shoot?
I was born in character.
Do you have a particularly favourite Motley Crue story?
I love the stories about the Motley House way back in the beginning, they are always hair raising and toe curling! The one that springs to mind was the one about them buying hot subway sandwiches, biting the ends off and shoving their knobs into the filling so they could cover the smell of whore when they got back to their girlfriends place-the girlfriends they were only with because they had jobs and bought them food.
